WWII F/S---Canadian Issue with Ring and Bead handle. The original sheath has the Broad Arrow within a C mark just above the elastic. The back of the sheath is marked with a "W" for waterproof..
The scabbard is original and made by the Black Horse Leather Shop. The sheath is original and made by the Black Horse Leather Shop. The majority of these early knives did not come with the later sheaths made by the Black Horse Leather Shop. Cole made between 50 to 75 of the early 9 point knives. Both the knife and sheath are unmarked, which is correct, as he did not mark the war time knives.. The knife is a cross between a V-42 and a F/S Stiletto. The sheath is 17 1/4" long and marked on the metal plate "M H Cole / Roebuck Works"..
The knife itself is identical to the Raider knife and if it had not been with this scabbard, you would not know the difference. This exact knife is pictured in Mike Silvey's WWII book page 76.. Brown / 1943" and "D^D" on the front and "^H B" on the back..
